ChronoScan has integrated the Google Cloud Vision AI based OCR engine into both the desktop and enterprise editions of ChronoScan to allow you to leverage the cutting-edge features of the latest generation of AI based OCR tools.

The power of this engine make some of the previously impossible jobs possible and greatly enhance the IntelliTag performance as well as enhancing full text search capabilities.

In our experience the Google Cloud Vision OCR engine is a significant improvement on any of the traditional OCR engines currently in the marketplace.

So what can it do?

• High accuracy on poor quality, low resolution and/or distorted images for instance those taken with smartphones
• High accuracy reading text placed on documents that don't conform to the normal direction of text, for example document stamps
• Good performance with image containing a large amount of noise
• Performs extremely well on both constrained and cursive handwritten text
• Multilingual recognition that performs particularly well on some of the more difficult languages such as Arabic and Chinese
