To successfully export your data and documents into M-Files using the built-in M-Files export module use the following steps:
After the data capture is setup within ChronoScan and the M-Files Vault and all the desired properties and objects are built inside M-Files make sure the M-Files desktop application is installed on the machine that will be performing the export (the same machine where ChronoScan is installed an running);
On the Export Settings for the desired Job add the desired file format together with the M-Files output destination module (you must always attach the M-Files export module to a file format module);
On the M-Files output module settings first set the M-Files Server Connection settings. Make sure that the hostname/ip address, user, port and protocol are correct. After that click on the Connect button on the bottom left of the window;
At this point the M-Files Document settings should be set. The desired vault, object type and class, workflow and other document specific settings should be set according to the specific setup requirements;
Finally it is time to link the captured data from ChronoScan with the existing properties on M-Files. At this point in the process the ChronoScan variables will be used to set what data fields should be added as values to each M-Files property.
Field link section of the M-Files Output Destination Module.
To include that M-Files property on the export make sure "Include Field" is set to true.
To set the value for that property the %docfield.Field_Name% variable should be used by opening the Variables Wizard using the highlighted button above. First select the field to show the variables wizard button ("...").
Finally if the property is linked to a value list inside m-files or some kind of date conversion is required a custom function from the Custom Function field can be used.
